PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Imagine there are hundreds of checkout counters in a store
TechFrog is a startup that aims to help traditional retailers undergo digital transformation and integrate our self-scanning app. Using our services, retailers can save unnecessary checkout manpower, effectively lower labor costs, enhance customer experience, and improve the accuracy of precision marketing as well.

CONTRIBUTION
I led our team, spearheaded the product development and communicated with our stakeholders. At the same time, I was responsible for UI/UX design of prototyes and did user research for getting more insights from retailers and their customers.
RESULTS
This isn't a pure UX project but a complete startup journey. To validate the market value, we visited many local grocery stores for observation and field research. Additionally, I was also responsible for a part of business development. As you know, founders always have to wear multiple hats. In the end, we secured a spot in a well-known incubator in Taiwan and achieved over $10,000 in expected revenue before concluding our journey.
Scanning When Shopping
Enter the Scan & Go App through the QR Code and scan the barcode of the items directly with your phone while shopping.
Modifying in Cart
Customers can directly modify the quantity of items or remove items from the shopping cart. After modification, they will receive instructions on the relevant steps.
Payment
At checkout, customers can choose from a variety of different payment methods and can also choose whether or not to request an electronic invoice.
Verification and the Invoice
Finally, customers must verify that the items are correct by weighing their shopping bag, and once this is done, they can leave the store directly.
